  1. These terms and conditions are the competition rules (Rules) and apply to Congregational’s charity prize draw competition included on the www.shared-values.co.uk website and any Congregational marketing, advertising or sales material (Competition), unless otherwise expressly stated.

  2. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.

  3. Congregational reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these Rules at any time without prior notice.

  4. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Competition, the decision of Congregational shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

  5. To qualify to enter the Competition the entrant must be resident in the United Kingdom, a home owner and at least 18 years old.

  6. Employees of Congregational or any company involved in the Competition or any such company’s subsidiary or associated companies, agents or members of their families or households, are not eligible to enter the Competition. Congregational reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

  7. By entering the Competition, the entrant hereby warrants that all information submitted by the entrant is true, current and complete.

  8. Congregational assumes (and the entrant warrants) that by using its website and/or calling Congregational’s insurance helpline and entering into the Competition the entrant has legal capacity to enter the Competition and agrees to the Rules (i.e. that the entrant is of sufficient age and mental capacity and is entitled to be legally bound in contract).

  9. Congregational reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.

  10. Entrants will automatically be entered into the Competition if they obtain a quotation either over the telephone or though Congregational’s website
    www.shared-values.co.uk for a building and/or contents policy between 1 January 2010 and 31 March 2010, or if the home insurance renewal date is received between these dates.

  11. If the entrant is not able to provide Congregational with sufficient information to enable Congregational to provide a full quotation the entrant may not be entered into the Competition.

  12. Only one entry per entrant per household is allowed.

  13. There is no purchase requirement to enter into the Competition and entry is free.

  14. Congregational reserves the right to cancel the Competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in their opinion, and/or if circumstances arise outside of its control.

  15. The closing date for the Competition is 31 March 2010.

  16. The winner will be selected at random from all qualifying entries within 28 days of the closing date by an independent organisation selected by Congregational and whose decision on the winner will be final.

  17. The winning prize is a cheque for £500 made payable to the entrant’s chosen United Kingdom registered charity. No payment can be made payable to any individual.

  18. Failure to claim a prize within 14 days of being notified by Congregational or in the manner specified may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

  19. The winner's name will be available by writing to: Charity Prize Draw, Congregational & General Insurance plc, Currer House, Currer Street, Bradford BD1 5BA, 28 days after the closing date.

  20. The name of the winner will be published on www.shared-values.co.uk/prizedraw and the winner may be requested to take part in any promotional activity and Congregational reserves the right to use the name and address of the winner, including any photographs, and audio and/or visual recordings of such winner in any publicity.

  21. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to the storage of their details on Congregational’s database and may be contacted by Congregational by phone or mail in the future about its products and services.

  22. Congregational cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of acceptance or non acceptance of any prize.

  23. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law.
